Legal Narrative in Spanish

Bridging the gap between the continental Anglo-American and European legal world (especially the Austrian world) and between law and the humanities Over the past two decades, the interdisciplinary field of research and teaching “Law and Humanities” has established itself primarily in American universities. It proposes new approaches to legal systems from the perspective of different humanities disciplines and places relationships and connections in a cultural context. Based on this interdisciplinary approach, this volume offers contributions on a variety of American legal issues – from the birth of the Constitution to tort law to criminal justice. From their perspective of the Austrian legal system, jurists deal with various aspects of legal theory and practice, while “Americanists” analyze the characteristics of this legal system in their cultural context, drawing on historical documents as well as literature and cinema. The book presents an exciting European perspective on this transatlantic legal complexity in the context of its culture and history.
