LSSCM provides free civil legal assistance to low-income people with a focus on homelessness prevention, family violence prevention, support for access to health care, food, and needs-based income programs. DRM`s lawyers and attorneys advise people with disabilities on their rights and responsibilities and defend their human, civil and legal rights in the state of Michigan. DRM has extensive access powers to monitor institutions and defend the disabled people who live there. Low-income children and their families by integrating quality legal advice into the Family Law Project (FLP) is an affiliate program of LSSCM that provides legal advice to poor survivors of domestic violence. MichiganLegalAid.org is a national guide to legal services for low-income people and use this website to link to useful legal information and find a lawyer to help you with your legal affairs. The ACLU provides free legal assistance or bank transfers related to civil rights issues. Student Legal Services is open and available for your legal questions. We make appointments with customers via Zoom.

The Fair Housing Center provides investigative services, advice, advocacy, arbitration, lawyer referrals, and community education regarding discrimination in the housing market. In addition to being represented in individual cases, LSSCM is part of a network of organizations that provide services to the most vulnerable members of the community. LSSCM is committed to systemic advocacy to reduce the barriers and barriers faced by low-income people. The Washtenaw Association for Community Advocacy provides legal advice to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities. They help individuals achieve and maintain the stability of Social Security disability, Social Security income, Medicaid, and family support. The Legal Resource Centre is a legal self-help centre. Legal Resource Centre staff will guide people and help them fill out the appropriate forms for civil matters such as divorce, custody, personal protection orders, minor claims, landlord tenant disputes, estate, paternity or guardianship of an adult. When my father-in-law Chuck was suddenly taken to the hospital with heart problems, he realized he had to “get his house in order.” Chris met us at the hospital this afternoon to discuss Chuck`s wishes.
